Critical Incident Support

A critical incident can be defined as an event that has a stressful impact sufficient to overwhelm the coping skills of an individual. When a critical incident occurs, the FSU Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can provide guidance on how to support the affected workplace.

The EAP can assist with:

  • Helping to identify critical issues, next steps and individuals that may be at risk of being overwhelmed by an event.
  • Equipping managers with the tools and resources to support individuals and the workgroup before, during and after an event.
